ARTE France International Sales was founded in 1991. It is the worldwide distribution arm of the European public-service cultural broadcaster ARTE.

By maintaining close relationships with producers, ARTE France International Sales offers a catalogue of over 1,500 hours of programs, wich reflect ARTE's editorial policy and consists mainly of documentaries on a wide range of themes including history, social topics, science, discovery and the arts. ARTE France International Sales has established itself as a leading program supplier to television channels all over the world.

In addition to broadcasting rights, ARTE France International Sales negotiates licenses with publishers (Video and DVD) and institutions (for screenings in museums, government departments, schools, aeroplanes and so on). It also has a catalogue for Video On Demand and Internet rights.
